This is a remake of my favorite jacket from when I was a kid in the late 80’s / early 90’s.
 
Japanese Natural-Dyed Corduroy Remake Jacket
 
Inspired by an original Billabong jacket made from a mix of colorful corduroy fabrics, this piece is our own remake of that origianl design.
 
We’ve recreated the jacket using a premium 5-wale corduroy manufactured in western Shizuoka Prefecture, one of Japan’s traditional corduroy-producing regions. The fabric is densely woven to create fuller, more three-dimensional ribs, while a specialized finishing process gives it an exceptionally soft hand and beautiful natural drape. It is the softest corduroy I have ever felt. 
 
With our jacket, every piece of corduroy is individually hand-dyed using natural dyes.
 
The jacket is finished with solid brass snap buttons manufactured in Japan
 
We are going to offer this jacket in 3 different options: 1 color, 2 colors, or 3 colors. Please note the price will be different depending on the amount of colors you choose. This price difference is due to the amount of time it takes to make each dye and material cost.
 
*Please choose the amount of colors you want in the options menu and then tell us what color(s) you want in the checkout notes. Because we only work with natural dyes, colors and tones can change from one jacket to another, and from one season to another. By purchasing this jacket you must acknowledge that the final color might not be exactly the same as you are expecting. Please email us with any questions.
 
*The color options are Reds, Purples, Yellows, Blues, Browns, and Blacks. You can choose deep or light tones... (Greens and other mixed colors could be possible but that will be a different price. Please email with questions) On this corduroy fabric, the purple looks like a navy-purple mix. Please take that into consideration if choosing purple. There are a wide variety of Natural dyes. To help streamline the process, you can tell us the color ( for example light blue, or deep red) and we will choose the dye we think will best match that color. If you have specific dyes in mind then you can mention that in the checkout notes as well...whichever you prefer. 
 
*We are using solid brass buttons. There are 3 different options: Nickel coated, Black matte coated, or Brass without a coating. Please let us know your preferred color. If you don't choose a color then we will add whatever color we think will look the best.

*** The pattern is made using CM. The measurements in inches on the size chart is an approximation. Because each Jacket is made and dyed by hand, a variance of 1-2cm is within reason.
